1. Introduction

Abu Dhabi mainland licensing is administered by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), through the Abu Dhabi Business Centre and the TAMM platform. A Standard Licence is the mainland economic licence that accommodates all legal forms of business and follows ADDED's traditional company formation procedure.

Key features include:

A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is required for company structures such as an LLC; a Local Service Agent (LSA) Agreement applies to certain other legal forms

A physical business location and tenancy contract (or equivalent, such as a virtual office / Tawtheeq registration) is required, unless the business is licensed to operate online through TAMM

2. Required Documents

The following is generally required from the client to submit the Abu Dhabi mainland licence application:

The MOA Typing and Signing fee is estimated at AED 800, but can range from approximately AED 3,500–4,000 where the declared share capital exceeds AED 300,000 — the final fee depends on the company's declared share capital.

4. Scope of License Services

InBusiness provides end-to-end support for the Abu Dhabi mainland licence application:

Trade name check and registration with ADDED

Preparation and submission of the Initial Approval application

Drafting and coordination of signing of the Memorandum of Association (MOA), or Local Service Agent (LSA) Agreement where applicable

Coordination of the business location and tenancy contract, including virtual office / Tawtheeq registration where selected
